Pay for the plants you need
A kitchen garden that works indoors, in any weather.
Why it fits
Chefs want flavour and freshness. Greens cut minutes before service hold their texture, and growing on site removes a delivery from the daily routine.
What we know from Akar’s pilots
For self-consumption Akar charges per number of plant holes for which the off-taker requests seedlings, published in 2023 as "as low as $0.5" per hole (MIT Solve). Akar's founder describes himself as someone who "just loves food" (Yunus&Youth, 2024).
