Akar is an Indonesia-based agri-tech startup that builds modular indoor vertical farming units and offers farming as a service. Its stackable units use in-house LED grow lights, sensors and IoT to grow pesticide-free, non-GMO greens close to where people eat them, in retail, hotels, restaurants, schools and homes. Akar grew out of a hydroponic greenhouse in Bandung started in 2019 and took part in Antler Indonesia’s second cohort in 2022.
