Controlled-environment agriculture
“Ruangan terkontrol berfungsi untuk mengatur temperatur, pencahayaan, kelembapan untuk pertumbuhan tanaman.” A controlled room manages temperature, lighting and humidity for plant growth.
What CEA covers
Controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) is the umbrella term for growing crops in enclosed spaces, from greenhouses to plant factories and indoor vertical farms, where growers manage some or all of the following:
- Air temperature and humidity
- Light intensity, spectrum and photoperiod
- CO₂ concentration
- Water and nutrient delivery
- Exclusion of pests and disease
Akar moved from a greenhouse (partly controlled) to fully enclosed indoor units after a pest attack in 2022. That is a textbook reason to add control.
